Choosing a Christmas present for a couple can be a minefield, can’t it? There’s always one half you know better, so you risk pleasing that one and disappointing the other. Our Christmas Joy Set Of 2 1/2 Pint Mugs is the answer (not least because these hand-decorated mugs come readily boxed). You can leave it up to the couple to decide who gets the mug saying ‘Joy’ and who gets the mug saying ‘Peace’ – even if you think you might know that answer already.

The cream finish on this jug has such a lovely matte look, and it feels sturdier than your average ceramic. We've used it for everything from milk to watering tiny succulents, and it still looks brand new after a month. Made me look like a proper gift-giving genius.

Honestly, buying for a couple is usually the worst, but this solved it—the cream finish is so much richer in person, and the half-pint size feels just right for a proper cuppa. It’s already become our go-to for cozy mornings.

The jug fits perfectly in my hand even when full, and the cream glaze has this lovely matte finish that catches light softly. I bought it as a hostess gift and honestly considered keeping it for myself after unpacking it.
