One of the things we’re known for at Emma Bridgewater is our use of colour: we have a palette of 30 colours that we love to mix and match. We felt it was high time to try something in a pattern and colour designed for everyone, so we recently launched our Black Hearts pattern. And here it is, looking rather splendid on a Personalised Black Hearts Medium Dinner Plate, 8.5 Inch. If you’ve always found it hard to choose an Emma Bridgewater pattern for your mum, dad, brother, sister, partner or friend to celebrate a wedding anniversary or a special day, we now offer you the perfect solution: a Black Hearts plate with your hand-painted message.

The hearts are perfectly spaced around the rim, so it feels special without being too busy. I got it as a housewarming gift and the 8.5-inch size is just right for a generous salad or a slice of cake. It's got that lovely, sturdy ceramic weight that makes every meal feel a bit more thoughtful.

The black hearts pattern looks even richer in person against the cream glaze, and the 8.5-inch size is perfect for a generous dinner portion. It’s the centerpiece of my housewarming table now, and I love that the colour palette actually pops like the photos promised.

I was nervous about ordering a personalised plate as a gift, but the name came out crisply and the black hearts have that lovely hand-painted feel. It's the perfect size for a dessert course and arrived in time for the housewarming party.
