The 8.5 inch size is perfect for a slice of cake without looking crowded. The bird illustrations are crisp and detailed, way nicer than the plain white plates I've had for years. Already eyeing the matching side plates.
Bought two of these for my morning toast and they've basically replaced my old plain plates. The 8.5 inch size fits a full English breakfast without feeling cramped, and the bird illustrations are genuinely pretty rather than tacky.
Bought this as a little treat for my mum who's mad about garden birds, and the painted robin detail is genuinely lovely in person, not cheap-looking at all. Only gripe is it's a touch shallow for anything saucy, but it's fine for toast and cake.
