The oval shape gives so much more room than my old round platter, so a whole lobster and a pile of shells fit without crowding. The shellfish illustration has a nice hand-drawn look that makes it feel special for a casual lunch.
Picked this up for a seafood night and it fits a whole cooked lobster with room to spare. The oval shape leaves space for lemon halves and ramekins of butter, and the shellfish drawing looks even nicer in person than on screen.
