I was surprised how well the grooves channeled the juices for gravy, and the board feels sturdy enough for a heavy shoulder of lamb. It's nice looking enough to bring straight to the table, too.
The groove caught every drop of jus from the roast, and having "Shoulder of Lamb" etched on the board makes it feel extra special for Sunday dinners.
The groove is deep enough to catch all the juices from a roast shoulder of lamb, which made the gravy rich and flavorful. I just wish the board was a tiny bit larger for a full family roast, but it's solid and carves well.
The board is decent for carving, though the "Shoulder of Lamb" engraving feels a bit too specific for my use. It catches juices well enough, but I wish the surface were a little larger for bigger roasts.
