The painted colour chips around the rim make it feel hand-finished rather than mass produced. It's just the right size for two mugs and a small teapot, and the birch has held up fine after a few weeks of daily use.
The birch wood is really light, so carrying a full teapot and two mugs from the kitchen doesn't strain my wrist at all. The painted colour chips around the rim have a nice matte finish that hasn't scratched despite daily use. It's become our default tray for afternoon tea on the patio.
