The pun about being "cool as a cucumber" got an actual laugh out of my mum, and the card's thick, sturdy paper felt way more premium than the flimsy ones at the supermarket. She’s already propped it up on the mantelpiece.
My mum’s playlist taste is questionable but she’s always been the calmest person in a crisis, so this card nailed both meanings of “cool” for her. The ice cream pun on the front made her laugh before she even opened it, which is exactly what I wanted.
The card’s “cool as a cucumber” line fits my mum perfectly—she’s unshakable in a crisis. The quality of the card stock felt nice and sturdy, and the humor landed just right for her personality.
